Progressivism is a left-leaning political philosophy that seeks to advance the human condition through social reform. People who are "progressive" believe that its application should be universal, and endeavor to spread this idea to society. Being progressive includes but isn't limited to - supporting inclusivity, being pro-LGBT, and pro-choice.&nbsp;<br><br>Having regressive views refers to having a preference for returning to a previous and/or traditional way of behaving. These include but aren't limited to believing in traditional gender roles/norms, and supporting tighter regulations on immigration.

A charter city is a city that can create its own rules, which can be a new, purpose-built city in a developing country designed to attract investment through its own legal and administrative codes, or a city within a developed country that has been granted significant autonomy to do the same.
